Co-Track Performers of the Week
Maddy Outman – Williams College
Junior, Boulder, CO
At the DIII NE Championsips, Outman captured a NCAA automatic
mark in the 55h (8.24) getting first place, a provisional mark and
personal best in the 55m dash (7.31) for second place, a personal
best in the 200m dash ( 25.79) placing first, and finally a
provisional mark and personal best in the Long Jump
(5.44m/17ft.10.25in) placing second. In all Outman scored 36
out of 151 points for the victorious Ephs.
Kaitlin O’Sullivan – Oneonta
State
Junior, Syracuse, NY
O’Sullivan won the mile in 5:03.67 and the 800 meters in
2:14.85 at the SUNYAC Conference Championships. Her 800 time was a
new meet record and her times automatically qualified her for the
NCAA’s in the mile, and provisionally in the 800m. She also
picked up a title as a member of the 4x400 relay, running the
anchor leg as the Red Dragons claimed the title in 4:05.43.
O’Sullivan was named Outstanding Female Track Athlete of the
SUNYAC conference championships.
Co-Field Performers of the Week
Caroline Doctor – Williams
College
Senior, Franklin, TN
Doctor continued her fine season in the horizontal jumps at the
DIII NE Championships winning both the Triple and Long Jumps.
Doctor broke her own school record for the third time this season
in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.92m (39ft.1.25in). This is the
second time she has hit a NCAA automatic qualifying mark in the
Triple Jump and she now leads the nation by a half foot. The
senior captain also improved her provisional mark from earlier in
the season in the Long Jump by jumping 5.66m (18ft.7in.) and is
only 4cm short of the auto mark and she is now ranked second in the
country in the Long Jump.
Jennifer Harlow – Wheaton College
Senior, East Bridgewater, MA
Harlow reached an automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Championship by matching her nation's-best high jump on Sunday at the USATF New England Championship. Harlow jumped 5' 8", equaling her top performance from January 7, while recording a qualifying height for the NCAAs for the fifth time this season. She tied a Division I athlete for the best jump among collegians in the event, tying for second overall, and also provisionally qualified for the national meet by winning the 60-meter hurdles.
