Div. III Women's Indoor Track and Field Players of the Week
For the week ending January 29, 2007
Division III
Co-Track Athletes of the week
Jennifer Harlow– Wheaton
College
Senior, East Bridgewater, Mass.
All-American Harlow provisionally qualified for the NCAA
Championship by winning the 55-meter hurdles competition on
Saturday at the Wesleyan Invitational. Harlow's winning time of
8.46 not only met a provisional standard but tied for the best in
New England this season and tied for the fifth best in the
nation.
Her performance also bettered the time she recorded during the
preliminary round by 0.27 seconds. Harlow's victory was her second
in three 55-meter hurdles competitions this season - she missed
first during a runner-up finish by 0.01 seconds - and she has now
met provisional qualifications twice in the event. The senior also
won the high jump on Saturday for the fourth time in as many tries
this year.
Maddie Outman – Williams
College
Junior, Boulder, Colo.
Outman equaled her NCAA qualifying time twice both in the
prelims and finals of
the 55 meter hurdles running 8.46 at this past weekend’s
Boston Indoor Games. She placed 5th overall in the 500 meters,
running a very impressive 1:17.02. Later, to close her busy night,
the junior ran a leg on the 3rd place 4x400m relay team that ran
3:57.99, good for a NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
