Toni-Marie Henry – University of
Massachusetts, Lowell
Senior, Springfield, Mass.
Henry was a star on both the track and in the field for the
Riverhawks at the Northeastern Husky Winter Carnival. The senior
placed second overall and first among collegiate athletes in the
triple jump and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship,
leaping to a distance of 38' 7.0''. Henry also placed second
overall and tops among Division II-III sprinters in the 55-meter
dash in 7.32 seconds and placed sixth overall and tops among
Division II-III athletes in the long jump with a distance of 17'
7.0''. She was also named Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete
of the Week.
Field Athlete of the Week
Amber Torrey – Bryant
University
Junior, Plainfield, N.H.
Torrey captured first place in the women's weight throw at the Northeastern Husky Winter Carnival with a mark of 49 feet, 7.75 inches. She also placed ninth in the shot put at 36-6.25. The junior was also named Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week.
