Track Athlete of the Week
 
Haley Catarius – University of Massachusetts, Lowell
Freshman, Marshfield, Mass.

Catarius finished fifth in the 500-meters with a time of 1:17.97 at the Harvard Invitational, placing fifth overall and first among Division II-III runners. Also ran a 59.1-second leg on the 4X400 meter relay team, which took second behind Boston College in 3:57.11. Cataruys was also named Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week.

Merlene "Stacey" Egbert - Southern Connecticut State University
Senior, Danbury, Conn.

At the Yale Lidlifter Invitational Egbert won the long jump (18-6) and the triple jump (37-11.25) while finishing second in the high jump (5-1). The senior was also named Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week.
