Track Performer of the Week
Jessi Foreman – University of
Connecticut
Sophomore, Wayland, MA
Foreman defended her Big East title in the 60
meters at this past weekend’s championships, with a winning
time of 7.42, qualifying her for the NCAA’s and also setting
a new school record. Her time is second on the ECAC list. Foreman
also finished sixth in the 200 meters, in a time of 24.68.
Field Performer of the Week
Kerstin Greene – Fordham
University
Senior, Frankfurt, Germany
Greene placed first in the triple jump on Feb. 17 at the 2007 A-10 Championship with a school and meet record mark of 40-9. She also placed second in both the long jump (18-11 3/4) and high jump (5-7) events and her mark in the long jump was tops in program history. The senior added a fourth-place showing in the 55m hurdles in a school-record time of 8.32 and earned Most Outstanding Field Performer honors at the Championship. Fordham placed seventh in the 12-team field and Greene was also named A-10 Women’s Indoor Track Most Outstanding Co-Performer of the Week.
