Sarah Mosser – Boston University
Freshman- East Aurora, N.Y

Mosser took home two first-place finishes in her collegiate debut at the New Balance Invitational this weekend. The meet featured over 20 colleges and universities. Mosser placed first in the mile with a time of 5:08.38 and first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.70. The Freshman was also named America East Women’s Track Performer of the Week.
 
Field Athlete of the Week
 
Tynisha McMillian
– University of Connecticut
Freshman, Stamford, Conn.

In the first meet of her collegiate career on December 2, at the Brown Invitational in Providence, Rhode Island, McMillian threw an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the shot put.  Her put of 15.40 meters (50’ 6 ¼”) also shattered the UConn record of 48’ 6 ¾” held by All American heptathlete Terry Roy in 1995.
