Track Athlete of the Week
Tanique Carter - James
Madison University
Junior, Richmond,
Va.
Carter broke a school record and met the ECAC qualifying standard in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.85. The junior also met the ECAC standard in the 55-meters with a time of 7.07 seconds.
Field Athlete of the Week
Tamara Highsmith - University
of Connecticut
Senior, East Haven,
Conn.
Highsmith broke a school indoor record and met both Big East and ECAC qualifying marks in the triple jump at the Army Invitational. The senior recorded a score of 42-9½ and is currently No. 3 on the NCAA descending order list.
Division II
Track Athlete of the Week
Danielle Scardino - West Chester University
Senior, Levittown,
Pa.
Scardino finished first in the 55-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and the 55-meter hurdles at the PSAC East Challenge. The senior produced a NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.34 seconds and she qualified for her conference championship in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.69.
Field Athlete of the Week
Olivia Thibou - University of Massachusetts-Lowell
Sophomore, South Boston,
Mass.
Thibou took first in the long jump (17-6.26) and placed third overall in the triple jump (35-5.25) at the Dartmouth Relays.
Division III
Co-Track Athletes of the Week
Lauren Deas - Cabrini
College
Senior, Philadelphia,
Pa.
Deas posted a national qualifying time and placed first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.81 seconds.
Renee Thompson - Wheaton
College
Sophomore, Hartford,
Conn.
Thompson recorded a NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.47. The sophomore finished fourth overall at the Dartmouth Relays, but she was the top Division III runner.

Ali Sax - Brandeis
University
Junior, Lincoln,
Mass.
Sax captured two events at the Bowdoin College Invitational with scores of 15-6¾ in the long jump and 34-2 in the triple jump.
