Division I

Swimmer of the Week

Anna Sonstegard - Dartmouth College
Freshman, Freestyle, Sioux Falls, N.D.

Sonstegard won an individual event and a team event in a dual meet with Columbia.  The freshman won the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:29.36.  She also contributed a victory in the 500-yard medley relay (4:42.10).

Division II

Swimmer of the Week

Jess Looney - Bryant University
Sophomore, Backstroke, Goffstown, N.H.

Looney recorded three individual victories at the New England Intercollegiate Championships.  The sophomore set school records as she won the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.98) and the 200-yard IM (2:13.05).  She also finished first in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:39.90.

Diver of the Week

Alex Bergantz - Bentley College
Sophomore, Diver, Trumbull, Conn.

Bergantz recorded second place finishes in both the one-meter and three-meter dive events at the New England Intercollegiate Championships with scores of 362.15 and 346.90, respectively.

Division III

Swimmer of the Week

Kristine Trutor - Keene State College
Sophomore, Butterfly/Backstroke, Holden, Mass.

Trutor was dominant at the New England Intercollegiate Championships, capturing three individual events and contributing to three relay team wins.  The sophomore met an NCAA qualifying time in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 24.20.  Trutor was also victorious in the 50-yard backstroke (28.05) and the 100-yard backstroke (59.84).  For her efforts, Trutor earned seven All-New England honors at the event.

Diver of the Week

Chelsea Peruccio - Keene State College
Sophomore, Glastonbury, Conn.

Peruccio put together a solid performance at the New England Intercollegiate Championships with a fourth place finish in the three-meter event (329.30) and a fifth place finish in the one-meter event (350.50).
