Swimmer of the Week
Nicole Murphy - Le Moyne College
Sophomore, Breaststroke,
Camillus, N.Y.
Murphy recorded three individual victories and one team victory in a win over Hamilton. The sophomore placed first in the 50 breaststroke (32.82), the 100 breaststroke (1:10.97) and the 200 IM (2:16.51). Murphy also contributed to the victorious 200 medley relay squad (1:55.13).

Co-Swimmers of the Week
Michelle Coombs - SUNY New Paltz
Senior, Freestyle,
Newburgh, N.Y.
Coombs won three individual events and took part in two winning relays at the SUNYAC Championships. She took first place in the 50 freestyle (23.72), the 100 freestyle (51.83) and the 200 freestyle (1:53.14). Coombs was also a member of the 200 medley relay (1:36.72) which made a National "A" cut time. For her efforts, Coombs was named National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week for Division III.
Natalie Thorpe - SUNY Geneseo
Sophomore, Backstroke,
Lakewood, N.Y.
Thorpe captured three individual events at the SUNYAC Championships. The sophomore won the 200 backstroke (2:10.37), the 200 IM (2:10.16) and the 400 IM (4:14.55). Thorpe's time in the 400 IM set a SUNYAC record and met an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Diver of the Week
Meredith Nearpass - Union
College
Sophomore, Seneca Falls,
N.Y.
Nearpass qualified for the NCAA Championships with her winning score of 245.70 in the one-meter diving event at Ithaca College.
