Marble led Southern Maine to the 2007 Little East Conference
Tournament Championship this past week, marking the Huskies' 11th
consecutive championship. She was selected the Most Outstanding
Player of the tourney, averaging 27.7 points and 14 rebounds per
game in three games. On Feb. 20, Marble scored 19 points on
seven-of-14 shooting, including five-for-five from the foul line,
and collected 10 caroms in just 23 minutes as Southern Maine ousted
UMass Dartmouth in the first round of the Little East Conference
Tournament. Three days later, she posted season-highs in points
(37) and rebounds (22) as the top-seeded Huskies defeated
fifth-seeded Eastern Connecticut, 77-61, to advance to the
conference championship. Marble recorded her third straight
double-double to lead Southern Maine to a nine-point (68-57) win
against second-seeded Keene State on Feb. 24, registering 26 points
and 10 rebounds. She sits atop the conference standings in points
(22.9) and rebounds (12.1) per game.

Player of the Week
Erika Steele - Ithaca

Hopkinton, Mass.
Steele averaged 20.5 points, 18.5 rebounds, and 4.0
blocks per game as Ithaca won the Empire 8 championship. She
recorded the program's first 20-point/20-rebound game in 25 years
in a 79-68 semifinal win over Utica. Steele helped force Ava
Thomas into a 4-for-18 shooting performance. She followed
that with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and a career-best five blocks in
a 97-92 overtime win at Elmira in the title game.

Player of the Week
Melissa Beyruti - Kean University
Sophomore, Guard, Union City, N.J
Beyruti averaged 18.0 points and 2.5 assists per game while
leading the Cougars to the 2006-07 NJAC Championship. In the NJAC
Tournament semifinals, she notched 17 points and two rebounds
during Kean's 79-68 victory over TCNJ. In the league championship
game, she nailed the game-winning three-point field goal at the
buzzer and finished with 19 points and four assists as the Cougars
claimed their 11th women's basketball conference title with a 62-59
road win at William Paterson.

Marisa Clark -

Clark led the Lady Mavericks to their second consecutive AMCC title with a dominating performance in the championship game. Against league #2 Penn St. Behrend she recorded 8 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and a block. For the tournament her numbers were 13.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 5.5 apg and 3.5 spg.
