Player of the Week
Brittany Mays -
Penn State, Behrend
Senior, Guard, Keystone, Pa.
Mays stepped up in back-to-back wins for the Behrend Lions (6-1
AMCC, 11-2 overall), including a decision over nationally-ranked
Medaille, to move into first place in the AMCC standings.
Against the Mavericks, Mays had 17 points, 9 rebounds and 2
assists. She followed up with a 16 point, 9 rebound, 3 assist
effort versus La Roche to finish the week averaging 16.5 points,
9.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

Player of the Week
Ashley Marble - University of Southern
Maine
Senior, Forward, Topsfield, Maine
Marble posted three consecutive double-doubles in a 3-0 week for
Southern Maine, averaging 28.6 points and 13.6 rebounds. She also
shot an impressive 55.3 percent (26-47) from the field. Marble
logged back-to-back 30-plus outings, netting 31 points and grabbing
10 rebounds in a 88-67 win over Salem State. On Jan. 13, she
established career highs in both points (33) and rebounds (20)
against Keene State. She climbed the Huskies' all-time single-game
records list, earning the fourth place spot in rebounds, while
tabbing the seventh spot in points. Marble has registered 35 career
double-doubles and eight on the campaign. She leads the conference
in scoring (22.2 ppg) and rebounding (11.0 rpg).

Player of the Week
Katie Marcella -
State University
College at Brockport
Schenectady, N.Y.
Marcella led Brockport to its first ever Chase Tournament
Championship game when she scored 25 points while adding 7
rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals as the Golden Eagles took
Rochester into double-overtime. Rochester, ranked third in the
nation, finally prevailed 78-75 as Marcella was named a First Team
All-Tournament Player. During the week's three contests
Marcella shot 47% (17-36) from the field and aced her free-throws
(4-4) as she tallied 45 points, 24 rebounds, 11 assists, 12 steals
and 4 blocks. Brockport finished 2-1 on the week as they defeated
Roberts Wesleyan 58-37 and St. John Fisher 68-50 in route to the
Chase Championship.

Player of the Week
Jessica McEntee -
New York University
Sophomore, Forward,
Flushing, N.Y.
McEntee tallied a career-high 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds
to help the Violets (#18 ESPN/USA Today, #21 d3hoops.com) overcome
an 11-point deficit and score a 59-53 road victory over UAA-rival
Brandeis University (#10 both polls) on Saturday. McEntee
tallied 13 of her points in the second half to power NYU's
comeback, including 3-4 free throws in the final 25.6 seconds to
ice the game. She also recorded her third straight
double-double and seventh of the season. McEntee is averaging
11.7 points and 11.5 rebounds for the Violets (12-1, 2-1 UAA).
