Player of the Week

Alexis Castro - American International College
Senior, Forward, Chula Vista, Calif.

Castro posted averages of 23.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week.  In a 76-74 double-overtime win against Bryant, she dropped in 41 points and corralled 17 boards, including the game-winning basket off an offensive rebound with 15 seconds remaining.

Division III - New England

Player of the Week

Colleen Feeney - Bridgewater State College
Senior, Forward, Providence, R.I.

Feeney averaged a double-double during the week, with 25.5 points and 15.5 rebounds.  She scored 27 points, pulled down 19 rebounds, and added three blocked shots in a 58-47 victory over Westfield State.

Division III - Upstate

Player of the Week

Latasha Coney - William Smith College
Junior, Guard, Lyons, N.Y.

Coney scored 24 points and grabbed 10 boards (all offensive) in a 77-50 win over Vassar.  After a win over RPI (70-55), she had averages of 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals for the week.

Division III - Metro

Player of the Week

Jessica McEntee - New York University
Junior, Forward, Flushing, N.Y.

McEntee averaged 24.0 points and 11.0 caroms after a pair of close losses this week.  She made 6-of-12 shots from behind the arc and added 2.5 steals.  McEntee's best performance of the week came in a three-point setback to Emory (64-61), where she scored 27 points and hauled in 13 rebounds.

Division III - South

Co-Players of the Week

Nicole Reiser - University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg
Junior, Guard, Renfrew, Pa.

Reiser scored 20 points, had three rebounds, and handed out eight assists in a 83-71 victory over No. 11 and once-beaten Medaille.  For the week she averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.5 assists.

LeighAnn Burke - DeSales University
Junior, Guard, Philadelphia, Pa.

Burke went for 33 points as DeSales topped King's, 67-57.  She made 12-of-19 shot attempts from the field, including four from long distance, and made all five of her free throws.  On the week, she averaged 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals.
