ONEONTA, N.Y. - Senior Sara Cavanaugh ended her collegiate career in grand style by leading the Cortland Red Dragons to the ECAC Div. III Upstate Tournament championship. Cavanaugh followed her 17 points in last night's semifinal win against Oswego with a game high 18 points in leading Cortland (24-6) to a 65-53 win against its rival Oneonta.

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The fifth seeded Montclair State women's basketball team (18-10) upset second seeded Farmingdale State (21-8) by a score of 85-70 to win the ECAC Metro Championship tonight in Farmingdale, N.Y. Red Hawks senior forward Stephanie Machin (New Providence, N.J./New Providence) received MVP honors after leading Montclair State to victory, posting team-highs 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Worcester, MA --- Tournament MVP Meghan Pajonas (Bristol, MA) tallied a game-best 20 points to help host WPI win its first ECAC New England Division III Women's Basketball Championship since 1987 with a thrilling 58-57 victory over conference rival Wheaton on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Engineers (23-7) equaled their school record for wins in a season established during the 1995-96 season.

The seventh seeded Greyhounds from Moravian pulled of their third straight upset of a higher ranked team, this time defeating top seeded King's College, 86-64, to captured the 2007 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Division III Southern Championship hosted by Albright College. The title is Moravian's second ECAC Championship, as the program won the 1987 crown.
