Track Athlete of the Week
Travis Parker - University of New Hampshire
Senior, Fairfax, Va.
Parker took home two first place finishes at the Dartmouth Indoor Invitational last week. The senior recorded victories in the 200-meter dash (22.40) and the 400-meter dash (49.96).
Field Athlete of the Week
Rory Quiller - Binghamton University
Graduate Student, West Point, N.Y.
Quiller won the pole vault competition at a tri-meet with Albany and Syracuse, clearing a height of 5.22 meters (18-1¼), a personal best.
Division II
Track Athlete of the Week
Robert Liekweg - University of Massachusetts-Lowell
Sophomore, Salem, N.H.
Liekweg won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.81 and finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.69 at the Tufts University Stampede.
Field Athlete of the Week
John Brinley - Southern Connecticut State University
Junior, East Hartford, Conn.
Brinley met an NCAA provisional qualifying distance with his second place finish in the weight throw (58'6.75") at the Lafayette/Rider Winter Games
Division III
Track Athlete of the Week
Peter Kosgei - Hamilton College
Sophomore, Kapsabet, Kenya
Kosgei finished first in two events and met two NCAA qualifying times in the process. The sophomore was victorious in the 800-meter run (1:52.42) and in the mile (4:11.52).
Field Athlete of the Week
Geoff Grambo - St. Lawrence University
Senior, Newark, N.Y.
Grambo was impressive at the Liberty League Championship, taking first place in the shot put with an NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 15.74 meters and second place in the weight throw (14.10 meters).
