Division I

Track Athlete of the Week

Sean Quigley - La Salle University
Graduate Student,
Braintree, Mass.

Quigley posted an automatic NCAA qualifier in the 3000-meter at the Boston University Terrier Classic. His time of 7:52.47 also broke a La Salle school record.

Field Athlete of the Week

Jon Hart - Liberty University
Senior,
Wyomissing, Pa.

Hart claimed first place in the weight throw with a toss of 19.40 meters at the On Track Open. The senior was also runner up in the shot put with a throw of 16.20 meters.

Division II

Co-Track Athletes of the Week

Stephen DeWitt - University of Massachusetts-Lowell
Graduate Student, Ellsworth, Maine

DeWitt finished the mile in 4:06.53 at the Boston University Terrier Invitational.  His time met the automatic NCAA qualification standard and is currently the fastest time in Division II this season.

Jarrett Eaton - West Chester University of Pennsylvania
Freshman,
Roslyn, Pa.

Eaton ran the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 7.94 to meet the automatic NCAA qualification standard.  The freshman's time is currently the fastest time recorded in Division II this season.

Field Athlete of the Week

Terry Goldson - American International College
Freshman,
Ansonia, Conn.

Goldson's leap of 1.88 meters was good for sixth place in the high jump at the Boston University Terrier Invitational.

Division III

Track Athlete of the Week

Peter Kosgei - Hamilton College
Sophomore,
Kapsabet, Kenya

Kosgei broke two school records and placed first in both the 800-meter and mile runs at  Colgate University's Class of '32 Invitational.  The sophomore's time of 4:09.31 in the mile met the NCAA Championships automatic qualifying standard.

Co-Field Athletes of the Week

Eugene Asimou - Montclair State University
Junior,
Livingston, N.J.

Asimou posted an NCAA provisional throw of 16.12 meters in the shot put at the Great Dane Classic.

Ozzie Brown - Moravian College
Senior,
Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

Brown provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship with a leap of 7.01 meters in the long jump at the John Covert Classic.  The senior also set school records in the 60-meter hurdles and 60-meter dash at the meet.
