Josh Forsman – The College of New
Jersey
Junior, Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial
Forsman had an outstanding meet, leading the Lions with two
individual first place finishes, a school record time and five NCAA
time cuts. Forsman won the 100 butterfly with a time of 50.07, a
TCNJ school record performance which bested the old mark of 50.17
set in 2003 by Nick Steffanci. That time is an NCAA provisional
time cut, but is currently the fifth fastest time in Division III
this year. He also won the 200 butterfly in 1:53.90, another NCAA
provisional time. Forsman was part of the winning 400
freestyle relay with an NCAA provisional time of 3:05.71. In
the 200 individual medley he took fifth place in 1:56.97. He was
also part of the first place 200 medley relay team with a time of
1:33.48, an NCAA provisional qualifying time. The Lions also won
the 400 medley relay with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of
3:25.57 with Forsman competing on the relay. Forsman also helped
TCNJ also pick up second place in the 200 freestyle relay with a
time of 1:25.40.
Diver of the Week
Jeff Brinberg – Rowan University
Senior, Ventnor, NJ/Atlantic City
Brinberg won the one meter diving and finished fourth in the three meter diving at the Metropolitan Championships (Feb. 16-18). In the one meter, he totaled 498.75 points. He had 500.05 points in the three meter diving.
