Swimmer of the Week
Andrew Lardiere – New York
University
Sophomore, Walnut Creek, CA (Northgate HS)
Lardiere won three events and placed in six events at the UAA
Championships last week, helping lead NYU to a second-place team
finish. Lardiere won the 50-yard freestyle in a school-record
time of 20.90 (also an NCAA “B” cut). He was also
a member of NYU’s winning 200-yard freestyle relay (1:24.09,
school record, NCAA “B” cut) and 400-yard freestyle
relay (3:05.25, NCAA B” cut). Lardiere also finished
second in the 100-yard freestyle (46.23, NCAA “B” cut),
and was a member of NYU’s third-place teams in the 400-yard
medley relay (3:29.46) and the 800-yard freestyle relay (6:53.00,
NCAA “B” cut).
Diver of the Week
Greg Lloyd – The College of New
Jersey
Sophomore, Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central
Lloyd picked up a fourth place showing in the three meter event with his NCAA qualifying score of 351.85. He also turned in an NCAA qualifying mark as he took sixth in the one meter event with his score of 310.60.
