Swimmer of the Week
David Zenk - George Washington University
Junior, Backstroke, St. Louis, Mo.
Zenk received the Most Outstanding Performer honor at the A-10 Championships with three individual victories. The junior took first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:47.15), the 200-yard IM (1:50.50), and the 400-yard IM (3:56.36).
Diver of the Week
RJ Rappe - University of Massachusetts
Senior, Diver, Farmington, Minn.
Rappe swept the diving events at the A-10 Championships and earned the Most Outstanding Diver award. The senior won the one-meter with a score of 635.90 and the three-meter with a score of 678.55.
Division II
Co-Swimmers of the Week
Tom Ferrigno - Bryant University
Junior, Freestyle/Backstroke, West Chester, Pa.
Ferrigno won three events and qualified for two NCAA "B" cuts in the process. The junior met the NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the 400-yard IM (4:08.52) and the 1650-yard freestyle (16:09.76), while also finishing first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:55.50).
Zach Terzano - Adelphi University
Freshman, Freestyle, Hempstead, N.Y.
Terzano met two NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the Metropolitan Swim Championships in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:41.78 and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:40.02.
Diver of the Week
Brandon Birchak - College of Saint Rose
Senior, Diver, Latham, N.Y.
Birchak swept the dive events at the Metropolitan Swim Championships and was named Diver of the Meet. The senior set a meet record in the three-meter event (557.33) and took first in the one-meter event (489.38).
Division III
Swimmer of the Week
Andrew Lardiere - New York University
Junior, Freestyle, Walnut Creek, Ca.
Lardiere recorded three individual wins and four relay victories at the UAA Championships. Individually, the junior won the 100-yard freestyle (45.54), the 200-yard freestyle (1:40.98) and the 50-yard freestyle (20.86). For his efforts, Lardiere was named Swimmer of the Meet.
Diver of the Week
Max Norris - New York University
Freshman, Diver, Rochester, N.Y.
Norris swept the diving events and took home the Diver of the Meet honor at the UAA Championships. The freshman won the one-meter event with a score of 447.84 and qualified for the NCAA Championship in the three-meter event with a score of 486.65.
