Swimmer of the Week
Alex Oldenkamp - U.S. Naval Academy
Junior, Freestyle,
Coppell, Texas
Oldenkamp grabbed a pair of wins against Columbia with first place finishes in the 50-meter freestyle (23.41) and the 100-meter freestyle (51.75). The junior was also part of the victorious 200-meter medley relay squad (1:44.46).
Diver of the Week
Zac Ranta - Harvard
University
Freshman, Diver, Hales Corners, Wis.
Ranta swept the diving events against Penn with victories in the one-meter (301.73) and the three-meter (312.60) events.
Division II
Swimmer of the Week
Ricky Chidsey - Le Moyne College
Junior, Backstroke,
Liverpool, N.Y.
Chidsey tallied three individual victories and one relay victory in a dual meet against Hamilton. The junior won the 50 backstroke (24.20), the 100 backstroke (52.05) and the 200 IM (1:58.35). Chidsey was also part of the victorious 200 medley relay squad (1:37.24).
Division III
Swimmers of the Week
Charlie Hake - SUNY Geneseo
Senior, Freestyle,
Akron, N.Y.
Hake recorded a SUNYAC Championship record and an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.73. The senior also contributed to the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relays in NCAA provisional qualifying times of 1:23.33 and 3:06.35, respectively.
Diver of the Week
Matthew Culen - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Junior, Diver,
Rochester, N.Y.
Culen swept the diving events against Hamilton last week. The junior recorded an NCAA cut score in the three-meter event with a 276.75 total and also won the one-meter event (263.45).
