Division II

Player of the Week

Jonathan Schmidt - Long Island University-C.W. Post
Junior, Guard, Centereach, N.Y.

Schmidt averaged 29.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists during a 1-1 week.  In a win over New Haven, he scored 34 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor and 13-of-15 from the line.

Division III - New England

Player of the Week

Nick Harrington - Southern Vermont College
Senior, Forward, Brooklyn, N.Y.

Harrington shot 71.4 percent (20-of-34) from the floor this week, finishing with an average of 29.0 points per game in a pair of losses.  He also pulled down an average of 17.5 rebounds per contest.

Division III - Upstate

Co-Players of the Week

Jeff Bostic - Ithaca College
Junior, Forward, Rochester, N.Y.

Bostic registered double-doubles in wins over Stevens and Nazareth, ending the week with averages of 17.5 points, 15.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks.  He scored 24 points against Stevens, and had 20 rebounds in the game against Nazareth.

Sam Simmons - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Senior, Forward, Newburgh, N.Y.

Simmons averaged 18.3 points and 12.0 rebounds over three games during the week.  He had a double-double in two of the games, including an 18-point, 18-rebound performance in a 63-49 win over Clarkson.

Division III - Metro

Player of the Week

David Acree - St. Joseph's College (NY)
Junior, Guard, Brentwood, N.Y.

Acree scored 37 points behind 9-of-13 shooting from 3-point range in a 91-81 victory over Farmingdale State College.  In an 86-80 win against Mt. St. Mary, he scored 22 points and dished out eight assists.  Acree's numbers for the week were 29.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.

Division III - South

Co-Players of the Week

Greg Gonzalez - Carnegie Mellon University
Senior, Forward, Southlake, Texas

Gonzalez posted averages of 17.5 points and 17.5 rebounds during the week in wins over Emory (78-70) and Case (70-66).  He also averaged 2.5 assists and 2.5 blocks per game.  Against Emory he recorded 23 points, 14 caroms, four blocks, and three steals.

John Soboleski - King's College
Senior, Center, Ashley, Pa.

Soboleski was very consistent in games against Wilkes and Delaware Valley, scoring 27 and 26 points, respectively.  He also averaged 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game.  For the week, Soboleski shot 70.4 percent (19-for-27) from the field.
