Player of the Week

Jonathan Schmidt - Long Island University-C.W. Post
Junior, Guard, Centereach, N.Y.

Schmidt dropped 30 points on Queens last week, connecting on 11 of 17 shots from the field and seven of 10 from beyond the arc.  He also added nine assists and four rebounds in the 87-62 victory.

Co-Players of the Week

Japhet Kerr - Johnson & Wales University
Senior, Guard, Mt. Kisco, N.Y.

Kerr averaged 27.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.5 assists over two games during the week.  He scored 31 points in an 89-81 win over Plymouth State.

Jaykyri Simpson - University of New England
Junior, Guard, East Cleburne, Texas

Simpson scored 26 points in a 66-65 victory over Southern Maine.  He added six rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while making 12 of his 14 shot attempts from the field.

Player of the Week

Brandon Freeman - St. Joseph's College (NY)
Senior, Forward, Freeport, N.Y.

Freeman averaged 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in two wins during the week, over Old Westbury (75-73) and Bard (98-89).  He also shot 63 percent from the field.

Player of the Week

Malcolm Edwards - Hilbert College
Junior, Forward, Cleveland Heights, Ohio

Edwards posted a pair of double-doubles as Hilbert split its games against SUNY Oswego and D'Youville.  He scored 20 points in both games, while averaging 14.0 rebounds per game and shooting 68 percent from the floor.
