After five appearances in the ECAC championship game, a Hartwick College men's hoop team can finally call itself the champion. 'Wick took the lead with just a minute left in the first and never relinquished it in a 69-60 victory over St. John Fisher in the ECAC Upstate Tournament title game at Fisher's Manning & Napier Gym Saturday afternoon.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. - The Johns Hopkins men's basketball team went 2-0 in bracket play at this weekend's Holiday Festival, beating Roger Williams on Friday, and completed the weekend with a comfortable 75-45 lashing of Penn St. Altoona. Most Outstanding Player honors went to Hopkins forward Andrew Farber-Miller (Charlottesville, VA) who averaged 15.5 ppg and 8 rpg.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. - In a back and forth battle, Montclair State University overcame a thrilling comeback from St. Joseph's (LI) claiming the Holiday Festival Pool B Title with a 70-64 victory. Red Hawks forward Daniel McRae (Orange, N.J.) earned Most Outstanding Player honors averaging 16.5 ppg and 12 rpg. For St. Joseph's (LI) Christ Jimenez (Huntington Station, N.Y.) led four players in double figures with 15 points.

The ECAC Holiday Festival hosted by Caldwell College will begin today at 2 p.m. Along with Caldwell, Felician College, Mercy College, and Queens College will be participating in the two-day tournament.

CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College will be the site of two full days of college basketball action when the ECAC Holiday Classic comes to the George R. Newman Center Dec. 19-20. The men's and women's basketball teams from Caldwell, Felician College, Mercy College and Queens College will participate in the Classic, which consists of four games on each day.
