ECAC Announces 2011 Holiday Festival Tournament Participants and Schedule

Cape Cod, MA. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and Commissioner Rudy Keeling have announced the participating teams for the 2011 ECAC Holiday Festival. The full event schedule has also been finalized with games slated to take place January 1-5 at the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, FL.

The event will be hosting seven men's and women's basketball programs from across the country at the 2011 event. The event will feature four men's teams and three women's teams, with the schedule running over three days. For the first time in three years the schedule will feature two New Years Day matchups, both including Colby College out of the NESCAC. On the men's side the Mules will face Vassar College from the Liberty League at 12:00 pm and the Colby women's team will follow with a matchup against the Salem State University Vikings at 2:30 pm.

Participating teams will also have the opportunity to visit Orlando area theme park attractions at a discounted rate offered by the Central Florida Sports Commission. The event schedule offers teams ample time away from the court to visit attractions such as the Walt Disney World® theme parks, Sea World®, and Universal Studios Orlando®.
