ECAC Announces Division III South Men's Basketball All-Stars

CAPE COD, Mass. – Senior guard/forward Darnell Braswell of DeSales University has been chosen as the 2009-10 ECAC Division III South Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. Braswell led the Freedom Conference in points this year with 591 and an average of 21.1 per game. Additionally the senior totaled 77 assists and 31 steals for the year.
Cabrini College freshman Cory Lemons has been chosen as the 2009-10 ECAC Division III South Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Year, with per-game averages of 15.3 points and 5.4 rebounds. The Cavaliers forward was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year for his efforts.
Joining Braswell on the ECAC first team are Kevin Misevicius of Cabrini College, James McNally of Franklin & Marshall College, Andy O’Keefe of Grove City College, and this year’s ECAC South Rookie of the Year, Cory Lemons of Cabrini College.
Misevicius, the Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Year, has earned multiple accolades during his senior season. He finished the year with 543 points, averaging 19.4 per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, and added 55 assists and 71 steals. O’Keefe earns a spot after being named the Presidents Athletic Conference Player of the Year. O’Keefe totaled 490 points on the season with 2.0 assists per game and 34 steals. The Centennial Conference Player of the Year, McNally, totaled 18.2 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game during his junior campaign.
Five players were also selected to the ECAC second team: Ryne Murray of Westminster College, Andrew Powers of Gettysburg College, Kirk Peters of Penn State Altoona, Keith Hack of Medaille College, and Paul Reynolds of Wesley College.
Five players were also selected to the ECAC third team: Ryan Kearney of Centenary College, Greg Palmer of Salisbury University, Thomas Kresge of Wilkes University, Zac Shaeffer of Albright College, and Terrell Brown of Drew University.
