Stover helped the Tribe post the sixth-best score in school history (194.375) at a tri-meet hosted by George Washington. She broke the school record on vault with a winning score of 9.925 and led the team in setting the school record on the event (49.025).  She placed second in all-around with a 39.075, the second-best score in school history, placed third on beam with a 9.725, and sixth on floor with a 9.75.

Walters had the best meet of her career against Springfield College, as she set new career-highs on every individual event and the all-around. She placed first on vault (9.80), bars (9.80), beam (9.775) and in the all-around (39.05), and finished second on floor (9.675). Her scores on vault and bars, as well as her all-around score are the third-best in school history and helped lead the Bear to a first-place finish and a season-high score.

 

Rookie of the Week

Name: Kelly Tan
Institution: University of Pennsylvania
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Los Gatos, Calif.

Beam: 9.700
Floor Exercise: 9.650

Tan added another week of solid performances to her resume, leading all Penn scores on beam and placing fourth overall on the event. Her scores help Penn score its highest team score of the season.

 

Specialist of the Week

Name: Stacia Ruse
Institution: The College of William & Mary
Class: Junior
Hometown: Poland, Ohio

Bars: 9.850
Beam: 9.675

Ruse set a new career-high on bars with a score of 9.850, which placed her second on the event and ties for the seventh-best score in school history. She also placed fifth on beam with a 9.675. Her efforts helped the Tribe post the sixth-best score in school history (194.375) and a second place finish at a tri-meet hosted by George Washington University. 

Coaches' Choice

Name: Madeline Benz
Institution: Brown University
Class: Senior
Hometown: Chester, N.J.

Competing for the first time since her freshman year, Benz was composed and solid for the Bears.  Benz has had a very tough career at Brown. She has spent the first three years of her collegiate career rehabbing injuries and had previously never been able to compete. Her dedication to the team and support of her teammates has always remained strong. Now as a senior, Benz was recently diagnosed with three bulging disks in her back. Her performance on Sunday was incredible and brought tears to everyone's eyes.  She is described by her coaches as one of the most mentally tough, dedicated and giving athletes the Bears have.
