Division I
Track Athlete of the Week
Anna Hoffman - Saint Francis University (Pa.)
Sophomore, Enon Valley, Pa.
Hoffman placed second out of 39 athletes in the
1,500-meter run and first among collegians at the Red Flash
Open. The three-time NEC champion in the 5K, the junior
clocked in at 4:42.29 to give her the top time in the conference
for the event.
Field Athlete of the Week
Ashley Lewis - University at Albany
Junior, Riverhead, N.Y.
Lewis broke a school record, qualified for the ECAC
Championships, and won two events at the Capital District Classic
held by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She broke the
school record and qualified for the ECAC Championship in the
javelin with a throw of 136-6 feet to finish first. The
junior placed second in the discus with a toss of 128 feet and won
the long jump with a leap of 16-11.25 feet.

Track Athlete of the Week
Shannon Gagne - University of New Haven
Junior, Meriden, Conn.
Gagne won the 100-meter and 200-meter dash at the Yale
University Springtime Invitational last week. She clocked in
at a school record 11.96 seconds in the 100, becoming the first
female in school history to break 12 seconds. In the 200, she
finished in a season-best 24.42 seconds.
Field Athlete of the Week
Jacqui Barrett - University of
Massachusetts-Lowell
Junior, Woburn, Mass.
Barrett placed third overall and first among Division II
and III throwers in the shot put at the Brown Spring
Invitational. She threw a season-best distance of 46-6 feet,
placing her sixth on the Division II list this season.

Track Athlete of the Week
Gabby Cyr - University of Southern Maine
Senior, Fort Kent, Maine
Cyr was a double winner in the 1,500 and 5,000-meter races
at the Little East Championships. She clocked in at 4:51.17
in the 1,500 and 20:03.41 in the 5,000 to lead Southern Maine to
its tenth straight conference title.
Field Athlete of the Week
Kristen Serikstad - SUNY Cortland
Junior, Oyster Bay, N.Y.
Serikstad tied a 25-year school record in the high jump
with a winning height of 1.68 meters at the Ithaca Open. She
went on to break that record at the Cornell Big Red Invitational
with a mark of 1.70 meters later in the week, barely missing the
NCAA qualifying mark of 1.71 meters. Serikstad placed second
and qualified for the ECAC Championship in the javelin with a throw
of 36.52 meters.
