Track Athlete of the Week
Lynnie DeCruise - Mount St. Mary's University (MD)
Sophomore, Rockville, Md.
DeCruise qualified for the ECAC Championships in both the
100-meter and 200-meter dashes at the Wake Forest Open. She
won the 100 in 12.12 seconds, sixth best in school history.
The sophomore ran the third fastest time in school history in the
200 with a time of 24.65 seconds.
Field Athlete of the Week
Amanda Cole - Temple University
Senior, New Castle, Del.
Cole placed first in the hammer throw at the Wake Forest
Invitational with a toss of 186-7 feet. The mark set a new
school-record and qualified her for ECAC and NCAA Regionals.

Track Athlete of the Week
Melissa Nash - Bentley University
Senior, Marshfield, Mass.
Nash finished first out of 43 runners in the 1,500-meter
race at the Husky Spring Open with a time of 4:53.87.
Field Athlete of the Week
Olivia Thibou - American International College
Junior, Boston, Mass.
Thibou set school-records in both the triple jump and long
jump at the Northeastern Spring Open. She finished first in
the triple jump with a distance of 10.74 meters and third in the
long jump with a leap of 4.74 meters.

Track Athlete of the Week
Holly Black - SUNY Plattsburgh
Freshman, Peru, N.Y.
Black finished fifth in the heptathlon with 3,170 points
at the Shamrock Invitational hosted by Coastal Carolina. She
was the only Division III athlete and placed fifth in the 200-meter
(27.98), first in the 800 (2:32.00), fifth in the 100 hurdles
(17.77), the high jump (4-2.25 feet), the long jump (13-6.25 feet),
shot put (23-2.75 feet), and fourth in the javelin with a throw of
66-4 feet.
Field Athlete of the Week
Julia Hopson - SUNY Fredonia
Senior, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Hopson hit an NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 54.44
meters in the hammer throw at the U.S. Military Academy meet at
Point Loma Nazarene University. She also won the shot put
with a throw of 12.48 meters and placed second in the discus at
32.23 meters.
