CENTERVILLE, Mass.--The ECAC women's lacrosse weekly award winners were announced on Tuesday, for the period ending Sunday:
Division II
Offensive Player of the Week
Jackie Sileo - Long Island University – C.W.
Post
Sophomore, Attack, Wantagh, N.Y.
Sileo scored four goals and four assists to lead the Pioneers to an 18-3 victory over Bentley University. She led the team in points for the third straight game, recording a game highs in goals and assists.
Division III New England
Offensive Player of the Week
Gina Newsome – University of New England
Freshman, Attack, Danbury, Conn.
Newsome had an 18-point week, scoring 12 goals and six assists. She netted seven goals and five assists in a 20-6 victory over Husson. She went on to post five goals and an assist against Division II opponent Franklin Pierce in a 19-12 win.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kristen Guest – Plymouth State
University
Junior, Midfield, Sandwich, Mass.
Guest led a defensive attack that produced a non-conference win over Worcester State, allowing only three goals. The junior had a team-high six caused turnovers and picked up six ground balls. She also contributed to the offense with a goal and an assist.
Division III Mid-Atlantic
Offensive Player of the Week
Erin Dunne – Franklin & Marshall College
Senior, Attack, North Brunswick, N.J.
Dunne scored 13 goals and five assists in a 2-0 week for the Diplomats. She had six goals and three assists in a 15-12 win against Ithaca, and notched seven goals and two assists in a 18-9 victory over Muhlenberg.
Defensive Player of the Week
Allie Arnal – Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute
Junior, Goalkeeper, Lakewood, N.Y.
Arnal went 2-0 last week, boasting a 6.0 goals-against average. She stopped 18 shots over 120 minutes of play and finished with a .600 save percentage.
