Division I

Track Athlete of the Week

Steve Hallinan - American University
Senior, Drexel Hill, Pa.

Hallinan was victorious in the 1,500-meter invitational race at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic.  The senior's time of 3:44.28 was over three seconds faster than the NCAA Regional mark. 

Field Athlete of the Week

Darryl Hunter - U.S. Naval Academy
Senior, Des Moines, Iowa

Hunter surpassed two NCAA Regional qualifying standards this past weekend in Navy's Star Meet.  His toss in the shot put was 17.38 meters and his discus throw was 51.88 meters. 

Division II

Track Athlete of the Week

Torrey Price - Stonehill College
Junior, Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.

Price won the 100-meter, finished second in the 200-meter, and was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that finished second at the George Davis Invitational hosted by UMass-Lowell.

Field Athlete of the Week

Terry Young - University of Massachusetts-Lowell
Senior, Mansfield, Mass.

Young won and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship in the long jump (7.22m) at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational.  The senior also won the triple jump with a distance of 13.4 meters. 

Division III

Track Athlete of the Week

Amaan Siddeeq - SUNY Cortland
Senior, Goshen, N.Y.

Siddeeq, at the Bucknell University Bison Outdoor Classic, broke an eleven year school record in the 200-meter race with a winning time of 21.14 seconds.  The senior beat out 48 other competitors and automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships.  He also anchored the winning 4x100-meter relay team that improved on its NCAA provisional time with 41.43 seconds. 

Co-Field Athletes of the Week

Alan Woods - Moravian College
Junior, Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Woods won his only event at the New Jersey Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey.  He established a school record and posted an NCAA provisional qualifying mark by clearing 4.70 meters in the pole vault. 

Cory Petermann - Ithaca College
Junior, Morris, N.Y.

Petermann broke his own school record in the javelin with an NCAA provisional qualifying throw of 59.49 meters at the New Jersey Invitational.  He also placed fourth in the discus (40.76m), fifth in the high jump (1.80m), seventh in the pole vault (3.75m), and 11th in the shot put.
