Division I


Co-Players of the Week

Sean Olson - Rider University
Junior, Outfielder, Miami, Fla.

Olson batted .474 (9-for-19) with nine RBI, two doubles, and two home runs this week.  In a sweep of Siena, the junior went 7-for-15 with seven runs scored and eight RBI.  Against the Saints, he knocked a grand slam in the first game and a solo shot in the second game.  Olson recorded his 152nd RBI in the series, making him second in career RBI at Rider.

Scott Krieger - George Mason University
Senior, Outfielder, Towson, Md.

Krieger hit .692 (9-for-13) with a home run, two triples, five runs scored, and seven RBI in a 2-1 week versus Virginia Commonwealth.  He had at least two hits and two RBI in each game, including a 4-for-5 effort with three RBI in an 8-2 win over the Rams.


Co-Pitchers of the Week

Marcus Spaulding - Niagara University
Junior, Pitcher, Copenhagen, N.Y.

Spaulding struck out a career-high 11 batters for the second time this year in a 15-2 win over Iona.  The junior allowed six hits, one unearned run, and just one walk in 117 pitches. 

Mitchell Clegg - University of Massachusetts
Senior, Pitcher, Woburn, Mass.


Clegg struck out seven batters in a 3-0 complete game shutout against Saint Joseph's (Pa.).  The senior scattered six hits and became the first UMass pitcher to throw a nine-inning, complete game shutout since 2005.



Division II


Player of the Week

Matt Cotellese - West Chester University
Senior, Outfielder, Boyertown, Pa.

Cotellese led the Golden Rams to a 5-0 week and at least a tie for the Eastern Division of the PSAC, going 12-for-20 from the plate.  Seven of his hits went for extra bases, including four doubles, a triple and two home runs.  The senior scored eight runs and drove in 10 for the week.


Pitcher of the Week

Tom Cote - Franklin Pierce University
Senior, Pitcher, Swanzey, N.H.

Cote tossed 16 scoreless innings and posted a 2-0 record this week for Franklin Pierce.  He allowed 10 hits, three walks, and struck out 21, while holding opponents to a .169 average.  Cote punched out 11 batters in an eight-inning shutout over Assumption and struck out 10 in eight scoreless innings against Saint Anselm.



Division III - New England


Player of the Week

Ryan Pike - University of Southern Maine
Senior, Outfielder, Saco, Maine

Pike paced the eighth-ranked Huskies to an 8-0 week, batting .447 with 13 runs scored, five doubles, three home runs, and 28 RBI.  The senior recorded at least one hit in seven of the eight games, including a 5-for-6 effort against St. Joseph's (Maine).  Against the Monks, Pike hit two home runs and tied a school record by driving in nine runs.


Co-Pitchers of the Week

Conor Fahey - Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Senior, Pitcher, Cumberland, R.I.

Fahey pitched 17 innings without allowing a run, leading WPI to the top seed in the NEWMAC Tournament.  The senior allowed just two hits and struck out 10 over eight innings against Coast Guard for the shutout.  He followed up by striking out nine batters and walking two in a complete game victory against nationally-ranked Wheaton.  Fahey has not allowed an earned run in 25 innings pitched.

Michael O'Brien - Babson College
Junior, Pitcher, Shrewsbury, Mass.

O'Brien went 1-0 this week and did not allow a walk or run over 10 1/3 innings pitched.  The junior gave up just six hits and struck out 20 in two appearances.  Against Wentworth, O'Brien threw a four-hit shutout, while striking out a school-record 18 batters in the 3-0 win. 

Division III - Upstate


Player of the Week

Todd Allen - SUNY Brockport
Senior, Outfielder, Oriskany, N.Y.

Allen helped the Golden Eagles to a 5-1 week, hitting .526 in 19 at bats.  The senior scored 10 runs, drove in 14 runs, and hit five homers, while recording a 1.421 slugging percentage.


Pitcher of the Week

Steven Juedes - SUNY Oneonta
Senior, Pitcher, Schenectady, N.Y.

Juedes went 2-0 this week for the Red Dragons.  The senior started two games, throwing 13 2/3 innings and allowed just nine hits and one earned run, while striking out 17 batters.

Division III - Metro


Player of the Week

Jon Welsh - St. Joseph's College (L.I.)
Junior, First Base, Bethpage, N.Y.

Welsh helped St. Joseph's to a 5-2 week, batting .600 with 15 hits in 25 at bats.  He hit three doubles and two home runs, while driving in 12 runs and scoring 12 more.  The junior had five multi-hit games, including a 5-for-6 effort against John Jay.  In that game, Welsh accounted for 10 runs by scoring five and driving in five.


Pitcher of the Week

Rob Hugli - SUNY Old Westbury
Junior, Pitcher, New Hyde Park, N.Y.

Hugli accounted for three of the Panthers' six wins this week.  The junior earned two wins in relief and threw a complete game against Stevens for his third win.  Against the Ducks, Hugli allowed two runs and struck out five.



Division III - South


Player of the Week

Randy Dengler - Wilkes University
Junior, Catcher, Ashland, Pa.

Dengler helped the Colonels to a 5-1 week, posting a .524 average (11-for-21) with two doubles three home runs, and 12 RBI.  Against Lancaster Bible, the junior went 4-for-5 with four runs scored, three RBI and a home run.  He recorded a hit in all six games and extended his hitting streak to seven games.


Co-Pitchers of the Week

Pat Yannucci - Manhattanville College
Freshman, Pitcher, New Hyde Park, N.Y.

Yannucci tossed a nine-inning, complete game win over Delaware Valley, 10-1.  He allowed just two hits and struck out four to earn his first-career nine-inning, complete game victory.

Matt Regan - Juniata College
Freshman, Pitcher, Downington, Pa.

Regan recorded his first-career victory in a nine-inning, complete game win over Scranton.  The freshman surrendered just two hits and struck out four, while allowing two runs (one earned) in the contest.
