Div. III Women's Volleyball Players of the Week

For the week ending November 4, 2007

Division III - New England

Player of the Week

Steph Wiese - Endicott College
Sophomore, Outside Hitter,
Higganum, Conn.

Wiese averaged 3.69 kills and 3.23 digs per game as the Gulls' collected their second straight conference championship.  The sophomore recorded double-doubles in the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship matches.

Division III - Metro/Upstate

Player of the Week

Rachel  Ormsby - Union College
Junior, Middle Hitter,
Charlton, N.Y.

Ormsby averaged 4.47 kills, 3.65 digs, and 2.06 blocks per game in a 4-0 week, and helped Union to its first ever conference championship.  The junior recorded a triple-double and two double-doubles in the conference tournament.

Division III - South

Player of the Week

Brooke Winterling - Frostburg State University
Sophomore, Outside Hitter,
Gleneig, Md.

Winterling led Frostburg State to their ninth conference championship with a 30 kill, 24 dig, four block performance against Penn State Altoona.  The sophomore also had 22 kills, nine digs, and three blocks in the semifinals.  For her efforts, Winterling was named AMCC Player of the Year.
