Johns Hopkins Selected as Top Seed in 2007 ECAC Division III South Women’s Volleyball Championship

CAPE COD, Mass -- After finishing the regular-season with a 23-5 record, Johns Hopkins was selected as the number one seed in the 2007 ECAC DIVISION III South Women's Volleyball Championship. The tournament is an eight-team field with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds.

In the first-round on Wednesday, November 7, No. 1 Johns Hopkins (23-5) will play FDU-Florham (27-11) at 7:00 p.m. at JHU, while No. 2 New Jersey City University (28-5) will face No. 7 New York University (18-18) at 7:00 p.m. No. 3 Carnegie Mellon (20-15) hosts No. 6 Penn State - Altoona (21-8) at 7:30 p.m., and No. 4 Lebanon Valley College (22-9) will face No. 5 Washington & Jefferson (18-11) at 7:00 p.m. at LVC.

The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 10 at a single site to be determined after Wednesday's games.  The winner of Johns Hopkins-FDU-Florham game will face the winner of the Lebanon Valley-Washington & Jefferson match, while the winner of the New Jersey City University-NYU match will play the winner of Carnegie Mellon-Penn St.-Altoona in the other semifinal.  The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, November 11 for the championship.
