Rochester Captures ECAC Div. III Upstate Volleyball Tournament Title
ELMIRA, NY -The University of Rochester, with its victory over
SUNY New Paltz in the championship match, won the ECAC Division III
Upstate Volleyball Tournament tonight at Elmira College's Speidel
Gymnasium. The Yellowjackets advanced to the title game earlier in
the day with a 3-0 victory over Russell Sage
College.
Samantha Carr '07 from the University of Rochester was named the
tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

Russell Sage, St. John Fisher Advance to
ECAC
Div. III Upstate Volleyball Tournament Semifinals
ELMIRA, NY - Fourth-seeded Russell Sage (29-8) and third-seeded
St. John Fisher (16-14) advanced to the ECAC Division III Upstate
Volleyball Tournament semifinals tonight with opening round
victories.
The Gators won in four games over fifth-seeded SUNY Potsdam
(22-17), 19-30, 30-24, 31-29, and 30-15, while the Cardinals
defeated six-seeded Elmira College (15-13) in three straight games,
30-23, 30-26, and 30-20.
Russell Sage advances to tomorrow's semifinal against top-seeded
University of Rochester at 11 a.m. St. John Fisher will face the
second-seed, SUNY New Paltz, at 1:30 p.m.
