Div. III Women's Soccer Players of the Week

For the week ending November 4, 2007

Division III - New England

Offensive Player of the Week presented by PlayersGoal

Amber Di Nucci - Emmanuel College
Freshman, Forward, Assonet, Mass.

Di Nucci scored five goals and assisted on two more in Emmanuel's three-game run to the GNAC championship.

Defensive Player of the Week presented by PlayersGoal

Laureyn Furtney - Emmanuel College
Junior, Goalkeeper, Barrington, Vt.

Furtney made 13 saves in three wins GNAC tournament wins.

Division III - Upstate

Offensive Player of the Week presented by PlayersGoal

Megan Stevens - William Smith College
Sophomore, Forward, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Stevens scored the game-winning goal in overtime to beat Skidmore (3-2), and assisted on the game-winner in a win over previously unbeaten Hamilton.

Defensive Player of the Week presented by PlayersGoal

Alice Binns - William Smith College
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Boston, Mass.

Binns came off the bench to make two saves and earn a win against Skidmore.  Later in the week, she made six saves in a 1-0 shutout of Hamilton.

Division III - Metro

Offensive Player of the Week presented by PlayersGoal

Jamie Kunkel - The College of New Jersey
Junior, Forward, Mt. Laurel, N.J.

Kunkel tallied five points on two goals and an assist in a 3-1 win over Richard Stockton.

Defensive Player of the Week presented by PlayersGoal

Jessica Clarke - The College of New Jersey
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Wayne, N.J.

Clarke made five saves in a pair of conference tournament wins over Montclair and Richard Stockton.

Division III - South

Offensive Player of the Week presented by PlayersGoal

Kim Lane - Johns Hopkins University
Senior, Forward, Hazlet, N.J.

Lane scored the game-winning goal against Ursinus and an insurance goal against Gettysburg.

Defensive Player of the Week presented by PlayersGoal

Kayla Frost - Penn State University Erie-The Behrend College
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Venetia, Pa.

Frost allowed one goal in two games of the AMCC tournament against La Roche and Frostburg State, and made a total of 11 saves.
