Div. I Women's Soccer Players of the Week

For the week ending September 9, 2007

Division I

Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Ciara Crinion - Central Connecticut State University
Sophomore, Midfield,
Dublin, Ireland

Crinion notched the game-winner and assisted on the first goal in a 2-1 victory over Holy Cross.  She assisted on the equalizing goal against No. 17 UConn, before CCSU lost 2-1.

Katie Sanchez - Fordham University
Junior, Forward,
Flushing, N.Y.

Sanchez scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 overtime victory over Lafayette, and recorded Fordham's lone goal in a 1-1 draw against Manhattan.

Defensive Player of the Week

Brittany Henderson - Loyola University
Sophomore, Goalkeeper,
Commack, N.Y.

Henderson stopped two point-blank shots in the final minutes of Loyola's 2-1 win over No. 24 Wake Forest, and finished the game with nine saves.  In a 1-1 tie with Virginia Tech, she made 10 saves.
