Kronick, Roberts and Kramer Headline 2013 ECAC Division III South Women’s Soccer All-Star Teams

CENTERVILLE, Mass. —The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2013 Division III South Women’s Soccer All-Star Team and Postseason Award Winners today, and Johns Hopkins University junior Hannah Kronick (Westfield, N.J.) has been named the Division III South Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Year for a second consecutive season. Misericordia University junior defender Erin Roberts (Perkiomenville, Pa.) earned the Defensive Player of the Year distinction, while Arcadia University freshman Lennon Kramer (Nazareth, Pa.) was selected as the Rookie of the Year. The 2013 ECAC Division III South Women’s Soccer All-Star Teams are selected from 44 institutions from 10 different conferences, and voted upon by the coaches from those institutions.

Kronick repeats as the Offensive Player of the Year after a junior season that saw her finish in a tie for No. 10 nationally in points scored (54) and tied for No. 13 in goals (22). She led the Blue Jays to their second straight appearance in the NCAA Elite Eight and in the process, became the Johns Hopkins all-time leader in goals scored and total points. For her efforts, Kronick was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Women’s Soccer All-America First Team.

Roberts was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring a Cougar defense that allowed just eight goals in 19 games during the regular season. The 2013 Middle Atlantic Freedom Conference Defensive Player of the Year helped lead Misericordia to the NCAA Sweet 16 a year after advancing to the NCAA Final Four. Roberts was also named to the NSCAA Continental Tire Mid-Atlantic Region First Team.

In her first season at Arcadia, Kramer posted 16 goals and four assists for 36 points. She netted the game winning goal to propel the Knights to the 2013 ECAC Division III South Women’s Soccer Championship game, where they upset top-seeded Stevenson University to earn their first-ever ECAC Championship title. Kramer became the first-ever Arcadia women’s soccer player to be named the Middle Atlantic Commonwealth Conference Rookie of the Year after finishing the regular season ranked in the top-five in the conference in both goals and points.
