Division I

 

Offensive Player of the Week


Alejandro Bedoya - Boston College
Senior, Midfielder, Weston, Fla.


After missing the Eagles' first two games of the season, the Hermann trophy candidate came on strong this week recording his first career hat trick as No. 16 Boston College upset No. 8 North Carolina 4-1 in an ACC clash Friday night. In two career meetings with the Tar Heels, Bedoya has scored four times, while handing out one assist.

 

Defensive Player of the Week

Neal Kitson - Saint John's University
Senior, Goalkeeper, Little Neck, N.Y.


The senior keeper led the Red Storm this week with two shutouts while breaking a school record extending his scoreless streak to 742:01 minutes. Kitson set a new career-high with 11 stops against No. 3 Notre Dame, and added five more saves in a 1-0 double overtime victory over conference foe Marquette.

 

Division II

Offensive Player of the Week


Maciek Serafin - New York Institute of Technology
Sophomore, Forward, Lindenhurst, N.Y.


In a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Lock Haven last Wednesday, Serafin single-handedly brought back the Bears from a 3-1 deficit by scoring three goals, including the game-winner. It was Serafin's second hat trick of the campaign, and his fourth game-winner.

 

Co-Defensive Players of the Week

Andrew Tartara - St. Thomas Aquinas College
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Bardonia, N.Y.


The rookie goalkeeper continues to lead the Spartans to its best start in five years allowing just one goal this week, while registering 16 saves. Tartara also earned his second shutout.

 

Ryan Richards - University of Massachusetts-Lowell
Junior, Goalkeeper, Holden, Mass.


In two games this week, Richards had two shutouts in a 2-0 victory over AIC, and in a 0-0 stalemate with Le Moyne. The junior also extended his scoreless streak to 318 minutes.

 

Division III - New England

Offensive Player of the Week


Josh Solomon - Wheaton College
Sophomore, Forward, Acton, Mass.


Solomon had a helping hand in six out of the eight Wheaton goals this week, including a goal and two assist performance at No. 10 Williams College. This performance came after his two goal and one assist performance against conference rival Springfield.

 

Defensive Player of the Week


Will Pike- Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Junior, Goalkeeper, Gorham, Maine


In 290 minutes of match play this week, Pike made 23 saves and allowed only two goals. Pike recorded his second shutout of the season in a win over Daniel Webster, and registered 12 saves in a huge 1-1 tie with regionally-ranked Norwich College.

 

Division III - Upstate

Offensive Player of the Week


Scott Desmond - Clarkson University
Sophomore, Forward, Enfield, Conn.


In Clarkson's lone game of the week, the second-year striker scored a goal and assisted on another to give Clarkson a win over Potsdam State. Desmond scored from the penalty spot, and handed out an assist on the game-winner.

 

Defensive Player of the Week


Alan Smith - Rochester Institute of Technology
Senior, Goalkeeper, Lancaster, Penn.


In a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Skidmore, Smith was dynamic making several acrobatic saves from point-blank range in the first half. Smith finished the game with nine saves.

Division III - Metro

Offensive Player of the Week


Geoff Robbins - SUNY Purchase
Senior, Forward, Glen Ridge, N.J.


The senior forward recorded a hat trick in the Panthers' 4-1 victory over defending CUNY champion York College. Robbins has scored eight of the Panthers 13 goals this season, and scored the first two goals of the game against the defending champs.

 

Co-Defensive Players of the Week


Ian Tighe - Ramapo College
Junior, Goalkeeper, Wyckoff, N.J.


The junior goalkeeper registered a pair of shutouts this week for the Roadrunners, extending his league leading total to four. Tighe collected three saves in 90 minutes in Ramapo's 2-0 victory over SUNY Old Westbury, and tallied six saves in 108 minutes during a conference-opening double overtime defeat of Rutgers-Newark.

 

Marek Urbanski - New York University
Junior, Goalkeeper, Burlingame, Calif.


Urbanski earned his second consecutive shutout making four saves to help NYU blank Richard Stockton College, the No. 5 team in the Metro Region. He has now extended his shutout streak to 389:09 minutes.

Division III - South

 

Offensive Player of the Week


Louis Dollarton - Moravian College
Senior, Forward, Barrington, N.J.


The senior striker totaled seven points in two games this week including a two goal performance, one being a game-winner, in a 3-2 win over Haverford. Later in the week in a 2-0 win over Lebanon Valley, Dollarton assisted on a goal and scored another. Overall, he scored or assisted on four out of the five total goals scored by Moravian this week.

 

Defensive Player of the Week


Tyler Hodgins - Washington & Jefferson College
Senior, Goalkeeper, Jacksonville, Md.


Hodgins posted a pair of shutouts in a 1-0-1 week for the Presidents last week. He stopped a total of 12 shots in the two matches, lowering his goals against average to a miniscule 0.92. The senior has recorded 27 career shutouts between the pipes for Washington & Jefferson.
