Norwich Selected as Top Seed in 2007 ECAC Division III New England Mens Soccer Championship
CAPE COD, Mass. -- After finishing the regular-season with a 16-3-1 record, Norwich University was selected as the number one seed in the 2007 ECAC Division III New England Men's Soccer Championship presented by PlayersGoal. The tournament is an eight-team field with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds.
On Wednesday, November 7, No. 1 Norwich will play host to No. 8 Becker (15-6-0) at 1:00 p.m. in the first of four quarterfinal games. In the other quarterfinal games also on November 7, No. 2 Framingham State (13-4-1) will host No. 7 Colby-Sawyer (9-8-2), No. 6 Southern Maine (10-8-1) will travel to No. 3 Wentworth (13-5-1) and No. 4 Worcester State (10-7-2) will host No. 5 Coast Guard (9-6-1). The quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals to be played on Saturday, November 10th at the sites of the two highest remaining seeds.
The championship game, scheduled for Sunday, November 11, will feature the semifinal winners at 1:00 pm at the home of the highest remaining seed.
