Offensive Player of the Week
Martina Loncarica - Syracuse
Freshman, Mid Fielder, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Loncarica led Syracuse to a 2-0 week
tallying 11 points in the victories. Against No.11
Louisville, Loncarica had 3 assists, tying the school-record for
the second time this season. Loncarica had eight points
against New Hampshire, good for second on the Syracuse single-game
record list. She currently leads the league in
assists.
Goalie of the Week
Maura McCormick, Villanova
Sophomore, Goal Keeper, Forty Fort, Pa.
In Villanova's 3-1 victory over No.17
Rutgers, McCormick registered eight saves. Her current goals
against average is 0.63 with a total of 36 saves on the
season.
Division II
Offensive Player of the Week
Jaci Moulton - UMass-Lowell
Junior, Forward, Baldwinville, Mass.
Moulton led UMass-Lowell to a 3-0 week
while registering a total of 14 points. In victories against
Saint Michael's, Assumption, and Southern Connecticut, Moulton
netted two goals each game.
Goalie of the Week
Alyssa Sliney - Bentley
Junior, Goal Keeper, Brewster, Mass.
Sliney only allowed one goal in a 3-0
week for Bentley, including a pair of shut-out victories. In
the three wins over Franklin Pierce, Saint Anselm, and Southern
Connecticut State, Sliney had a total of 12 saves and holds a goals
against average of 1.42.
Division III-New England Region
Co-Offensive Players of the Week
Anna Giannoni - Endicott
Freshman, Forward, Granby, Conn.
Giannoni played extremely well in a
3-0 week for Endicott. In a double-overtime 4-3 upset victory
over No.16 Babson, Giannoni had three goals to lead the
Gulls. In the other contests, she had a game-winner over
Bridgewater State and another goal in a conference win over
Regis.
Karli Del Rossi - Trinity
Senior, Forward, Mantua, N.J.
In a 2-0 week for Trinity, Del Rossi
netted four goals. In a 4-1 victory over UMass-Dartmouth, Del
Rossi had two goals which handed the Corsairs their first loss of
the season. She scored two more goals came against Colby in a
3-2 win as Trinity came back from being down twice.
Goalie of the Week
MaryKate Bednarz - Nichols College
Junior, Goal Keeper, Springfield, Mass.
Bednarz helped lead Nichols to a 2-0
week, recording 14 saves. In a 2-1 victory over Mount
Holyoke, Bednarz had eight saves and another four stops in a 2-1
win over Clark.
Division III-Mid-Atlantic Region
Offensive Player of the Week
Debbie Wychock - King's College
Senior, Forward, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
Wychock continues her fine play for
the second week in a row. In a 4-3 victory over Elmira
College, Wychock registered a hat trick including the
game-winner. King's handed Elizabethtown
their first loss of the season in a game where Wychock had two
goals and an assist.
Goalie of the Week
Ellen Howanitz - Misericordia
Senior, Goal Keeper, Shickshinny, Pa.
Howanitz recorded a total of 27 saves in a 2-0 week for Misericordia. In a 2-1 overtime victory, Hawanitz had 19 saves against Moravian and then another eight saves came against Albright in her first shutout win of the season.
