Offensive Player of the Week

Alexander Teich United States Naval Academy
Junior, Fullback, Conroe, Texas

Teich ran for 210 yards on 26 carries in a 35-17 victory over Notre Dame. The junior opened up the scoring with a 31-yard touchdown reception to cap off a 99-yard scoring drive.

Defensive Player of the Week

Doug HogueSyracuse University
Senior, Linebacker, Yonkers, N.Y.

Hogue led Syracuse to a 19-14 win at nationally-ranked West Virginia, its first victory over the Mountaineers since 2001. Hogue was all over the field as he totaled ten tackles, two interceptions, 1.5 tackles for loss, and was in on a sack.

Offensive Player of the Week

Ryan SpadolaLehigh University
Sophomore, Wide Receiver, Howell, N.J.

Spadola recorded six catches for a total of 111 yards and three touchdowns in Lehigh’s 32-10 victory over Bucknell. The sophomore averaged 18.5 yards per reception and also added two rushes for 19 yards on the ground.

Defensive Player of the Week

Nathan TotinoDuquesne University
Senior, Linebacker, Pittsburgh, Pa.  

Totino was vital to the Dukes’ defensive effort in their 21-20 comeback win over Wagner College. The senior linebacker made 12 tackles, including four for a loss. Totino also recorded one sack for an eight-yard loss.

 


Division II

Offensive Player of the Week

Erik Anderwkavich Long Island University- C.W. Post
Senior, Quarterback, Queens, N.Y.

Anderwkavich set a new Pennsylvania States Athletic Conference record by amassing 651 yards of total offense in a 50-48 loss to Kutztown. He had 566 yards through the air and totaled 85 yards on the ground. Three of Anderwkavich’s five touchdown strikes came in the fourth quarter as the Pioneers late rally came up just short.

Defensive Player of the Week

Julius McCormickMercyhurst College
Senior, Cornerback, Columbus, Ohio

McCormick was all over the field for the Lakers in a 31-21 upset victory over California (Pa.). He forced two California turnovers as he intercepted a pass and then forced and recovered a fumble. McCormick also added three solo stops including one for loss.  

 


Division III North

Offensive Player of the Week

Justin Lindie Husson College
Senior, Running Back, Winslow, Maine

Lindie scored five touchdowns in Husson’s 55-51 loss to Castleton. The senior tailback ran for 253 yards on 29 carries.

Defensive Player of the Week 

Cainaan Webb University of Rochester
Junior, Defensive End, Syracuse, N.Y.

Webb played a pivotal role in the Yellow Jackets’ 16-15 victory of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The junior defensive end returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter and also blocked a PAT in the second quarter. Webb made five tackles and recorded one quarterback hurry.

 


Division III South

Offensive Player of the Week

Sam Wernick Johns Hopkins University
Junior, Wide Receiver, Dallas, Texas

Wernick had a career day for the Blue Jays in a 49-24 victory at Susquehanna. The Dallas, Texas native caught seven passes for 250 yards and scored four touchdowns. On the day, Wernick totaled 341 all-purpose yards.

Defensive Player of the Week

Brandon Jones Rowan University
Junior, Defensive Back, Mullica Hill, N.J.

Jones registered nine tackles and picked off two passes for the Profs in their 35-27 victory at Brockport. His second interception came with just 34 seconds on the clock to preserve the victory.
