No. 1 Overall Seed Washington & Jefferson Will Host 2018 ECAC Women's Basketball Tournament

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced Washington and Jefferson College will be the overall top-seed of the 2018 ECAC Division III Women's Basketball Championship. The Presidents will receive a bye in the first round; tournament play will begin Wednesday, February 28 at regional sites.

In pod 1, No. 1 Washington and Jefferson (22-5) will receive a bye as the host for the weekend while No. 2 Hunter College (18-9) will host No. 3 William Paterson (14-12).

In pod 2, No. 1 Mount Saint Mary College (21-6) will visit No. 4 Misericordia University (16-10) while No. 2 Grove City College (18-9) will host No. 3 Lebanon Valley College (14-12).

In pod 3, No. 1 New York University (15-10) will visit No. 4 Marywood University (15-12) while No. 2 Saint Vincent College (18-9) will host No. 3 Pfeiffer University (20-4).

In pod 4, No. 1 Springfield College (18-8) will host No. 4 Brandeis University (12-12) and No. 2 Stevenson University (16-11) will host No. 3 Rutgers University-Camden (14-11).

The winners of each first-round game will go on to compete in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 2 hosted by Washington and Jefferson College.

Game #1: No. 3 William Paterson University (14-12) at No. 2 Hunter College* (18-9) - 6:00 p.m.
Game #2: No. 4 Brandeis University (12-12) at No. 1 Springfield College* (18-8) - 7:00 p.m.
Game #3: No. 3 Rutgers Camden (14-11) at No. 2 Stevenson University* (16-11) - 7:00 p.m.
Game #4: No. 1 New York University (14-11) at No. 4 Marywood University* (15-12) - 7:00 p.m.
