ECAC Announces 2018 Division III Men's Soccer All-ECAC

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2018 Division III Men’s Soccer All-ECAC.

Joseph Fala of Ramapo College was voted Offensive Player of the Year. Penn State University Behrend took home two major awards as Chris Ralph claimed Defensive Player of the Year and Dan Perritano won Coach of the Year. The final major award to be received was Felipe Lucas of Kean University winning Rookie of the Year.

Fala had a fantastic Junior season becoming just the third Road Runner to win NJAC Offensive Player of the Year. He was named NJAC Player of the week three times during the 2018 campaign. He finished the season second in the NCAA in both goals (27) and total points (61). Eleven of his 27 goals were game-winning goals which led all the NCAA. His goals scored, total points and game winning goals make Fala the new Ramapo men’s soccer all-time leader in those three categories.

Ralph finishes his college career as a decorated goalkeeper. He was named AMCC Defensive Player of the Year for the second time, named to the All-Region team for the third time and All-AMCC First Team for the third time. He helped to lead the Lions to two AMCC Championships as the team’s keeper. For the 2018 season Ralph played over 1,800 minutes in net posting ten shutouts, .809 Save Percentage and an impressive 0.75 Goals Against Average.

Lucas first year on campus for Kean University was stellar. He totaled 22 points on 10 goals and two assists. He scored three game winners for the Cougars. He earned All-NJAC honorable mention after receiving NJAC Rookie of the week twice during the season. He was also named ECAC Rookie of the Month in September.

Coach Perritano led the Lions to their first ever NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2018. On his way there he won his ninth AMCC Cmapionship and his fourth AMCC Coach of the Year Honor. The Lions in 2018 also not only won the AMCC Championship but also were the 2018 AMCC Regular Season Champions.
