ECAC Announces Field for 2018 DIII Women's Soccer Championship

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced that Springfield College (14-5-1) will be the top overall seed of the 2018 ECAC Division III Women's Soccer Championship. First round play will begin on Saturday, November 10.

In pod 1, No 1. Seed Springfield will host No. 4 seed John Jay College (11-6-1). They will also host No. 2 seed Wilkes (9-7-2) vs Mount Saint Mary College (13-5-2).

In pod 2, No. 1 seed McDaniel College (10-5-1) will play No. 4 Brevard College (11-7). No. 2 seed Washington & Jefferson College (9-8-2) will take on No. 3 seed Pfeiffer University (12-2). McDaniel College will serve as the host for pod 2.

In pod 3, No. 1 Fairleigh Dickinson University Florham (12-6-2) will serve as the host in pod 3 and take on No. 4 Wesley College (9-4-2). No. 2 seed Widener University (7-7-3) will battle No. 3 seed Rutgers University Camden (8-8-2).

In pod 4 and its host, No. 1 Albright College (11-4-2) will play No. 4 Cedar Crest College (13-4). The other matchup in pod 4 features No. 2 seed Westminster College (15-5-1) versus No. 3 seed Alfred University (11-7).

The winners of each pod, will go on to compete in the semifinal rounds the following weekend on Saturday, November 17.
