ECAC Announces Women's Cross Country Athletes of the Week for Week Ending Sept. 24

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Women’s Cross Country Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 24.
 
DIVISION II
Runner of the Week
Nicole Maliborska – JR, University of New Haven
 
Maliborska posted a ninth place finish overall, first among non-Division I runners, at the Ted Owen Invitational hosted by Central Connecticut State University. Maliborska finished the five-kilometer race in a season-best time of 18:53.3.
 
Rookie of the Week
Meredith Morse – FR, Gannon University
 
Morse led Gannon to a fourth-place finish out of 16 teams last Saturday at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational. She ran the five-kilometer race in 19:25.5, and was Gannon’s top runner for the third consecutive week.
 
 
DIVISION III – Metro
Runner of the Week
Erin MacDonnell – SR, St. Joseph's College (L.I.)

MacDonnell won the 153-runner Bard Invitational, breaking the tape in a time of 18:10.8 on the five-kilometer course. Her finish helped the Golden Eagles to the team title.

Rookie of the Week
Delia Tota – FR, Ramapo College
 
Tota had a great weekend at the NJAIAW Championship at Stockton University. She finished eighth overall out of 152 runners, clocking a 24:39 on the six-kilometer course. The freshman was the fourth Roadrunner to cross the finish line as the Ramapo squad earned the team win with 32 points. Ramapo defeated 13 other teams, including NCAA Division II squads.                                                                                                                             
 

DIVISION III – North
Runner of the Week
Taryn Cordani – SR, Ithaca College
 
Cordani won her first race of the season at the Williams College Purple Valley Invite. The senior clocked a time of 21:35.5 to top the next closest runner by 27 seconds in a field that consisted of 286 runners. The race also featured nine teams ranked within the USTFCCCA Top 35.
 
Rookie of the Week
Macy Keegan – FR, Union College
Keegan finished 22nd overall, second among the Dutchwomen, at the Bard Invitational with a time of 20:34 (6:38 pace). She shaved nearly two and a half minutes off her time from the previous meet and she helped Union to a fourth-place team finish.
 

DIVISION III – SOUTH
Runner of the Week
Yanibel Collado – JR, Juniata College
 
Competing against multiple Division I and II opponents, Collado placed 14th out of a field of 230 at the Lock Haven Invitation on Saturday. Her time of 22:52.8 was a personal best by 45 seconds. 

Rookie of the Week
Macey White – FR, Saint Vincent College (Pa.)
 
White finished ninth out of 45 runners at the Saint Vincent Invitational, posting a time of 26:44.20 on the six-kilometer course. Her efforts helped Saint Vincent win the team title at the six-team event.
