ECAC Announces Women's Soccer Players of the Week for Week Ending Sept. 24

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Women's Soccer Players of the Week for the week ending Sept. 24.

DIVISION II
Offensive Player of the Week
Haley Noble - JR, F, Mercy College

Noble concluded the week tying a team-high four points on one goal and two assists. The junior assisted on the game-winning goal against Le Moyne on Tuesday before scoring the game-winning goal and adding an assist in the Mavericks win over NYIT on Saturday.

Defensive Player of the Week
Danitza Indacochea - SR, GK, Gannon University

Indacochea did not allow a goal in either game for Gannon last week. She made three saves in the 2-0 win against Shippensburg and four saves in the 1-0 win at Slippery Rock. She has now recorded four shutouts this season and has not allowed a goal in four games since Sept. 9.

Rookie of the Week
Gabby Lucas - FR, MF, Pace University

Lucas scored her first-career goal in overtime to clinch a 2-1 win over New Haven last week. In addition, she was a vital piece in the conference wins over the Chargers and Stonehill.


DIVISION III - METRO
Offensive Player of the Week
Bridget McKeever - SR, D, Mount Saint Mary College

McKeever notched 15 points (six goals, three assists) over three games played for the Knights last week. She netted a hat trick to go with two assists on Sunday against Pratt and had a five-point outing (two goals, one assist) midweek versus Yeshiva University. The senior would go on to add one goal on in the win over Neumann.

Defensive Player of the Week
Emily Pizzuto - SR, D, Centenary University

Pizzuto anchored a back line that allowed just six shots on goal in a 2-0 week, and had a .182 shot percentage. She also had a goal and an assist.


DIVISION III - NORTH
Offensive Player of the Week
Jules Petrucelli - SR, D, Curry College

Petrucelli finished the week with 10 points to her name over three games. She opened the week with a two-goal performance against Newbury before picking up a career-high six points against Fitchburg State with two goals and two assists. Petrucelli put 12 of her 14 shots on-target for a .857 shots on-goal percentage.

Defensive Player of the Week
Sarah McCarthy - SR, GK, Bates College

McCarthy allowed just one goal and made 23 saves in 200 minutes in a 1-0-1 weekend for the Bobcats. The senior posted a career-high 17 saves in a 1-0 win at Wesleyan, then made six saves, including three in overtime, in a 1-1 draw at Williams.


DIVISION III - SOUTH
Offensive Player of the Week
Haili Adams - SR, F, Carnegie Mellon University

Adams recorded four goals and three assists in three games for Carnegie Mellon this week, as the Tartans topped Allegheny, 9-0, Washington & Jefferson, 1-0, and Westminster, 7-0. On Sunday, Adams recorded her third career multi-goal game and first career hat trick and put in the game winner. She also assisted on the game winner in the game against Washington & Jefferson.

Defensive Player of the Week
Trishae Winters - SR, GK, Grove City College

Winters made eight saves Saturday in Grove City's 4-0 shutout of Mount Union. She also made two saves Wednesday night in Grove City's 2-1 triumph at Penn State Behrend.

Rookie of the Week
Michaela Burke - FR, MF, Grove City College

Burke scored twice Saturday in Grove City's 4-0 victory over Mount Union. She scored the game winner at 43:15, then added an insurance goal at 60:52.
