Division III National Champion Salisbury Lands Seven on 2012 ECAC Mid-Atlantic Men's Lacrosse All-Star Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass.--The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has named its 2012 Division III Men's Lacrosse Mid-Atlantic All-Stars as voted on by the membership, it was announced on Wednesday. To be eligible for this awards program, a student-athlete must be a first-team nominee from his primary conference.

Receiving major awards were (pictured, left to right) Sam Bradman of Salisbury University as the ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, Union College's Sean Aaron repeated as a Defensive Player of the Year selection and Brendan MacDonald from Rochester Institute of Technology earned top rookie honors.

Bradman, a midfielder, earned the Iroquois Nationals Award for Outstanding Player of the Year and the Fran McCall Award for Outstanding Midfielder of the Year from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. A three-year All-American and two-time national midfielder of the year, he helped the Gulls to an unblemished season en route to the program's 10th national championship while notching 70 points and 49 goals through the Capital Athletic Conference tournament. The senior was one of seven Salisbury players on the All-ECAC Team. 

Aaron, who was the top defensive player for the ECAC Upstate Region in 2011, had an outstanding senior season in the cage with a 6.72 goals-against average, .644 save percentage and 11-4 record through the conference tournament. A three-time USILA All-American and two-time Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year honoree, Aaron backstopped the Dutchmen to their best season in school history with a 13-5 final record and NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals appearance. He was at his best in Liberty League play, completing the league slate with a record of 5-1 and a 6.17 GAA.

MacDonald, a freshman attackman, posted 30 goals and 14 assists for 44 points in 16 games before the start of the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers' second-leading scorer was also one of the top offensive performers across the board in the Liberty League. He earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week on four occasions this season.
