COLUMBUS, Ohio -
Former Buckeyes Kevin Buchanan and Anthony Kelly have been named to
the 2010 Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game roster, the MLL
announced Monday. The 20-man squad will compete against the U.S.
Men's National Team, with the game set for 7 p.m. July 8 at Harvard

Midfielder Buchanan, a Buckeye from 2005-08, is in his first year with the Boston Cannons. He has 11 goals (including four vs. Chesapeake June 4) and 17 points through his first six games this year. He is in his third year in the MLL after being drafted fifth overall in 2008, the highest draft pick in Buckeye history. Buchanan played in nine games as a rookie, posting eight goals and five assists for the Riptide in 2008 and competed in six games for the Washington Bayhawks last year, recording seven goals and 13 points. Buchanan, the Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Year and a second team All-American as a senior when he led the Buckeyes to the NCAA quarterfinals, ranks third in Buckeye history with 175 career points. Kelly, who spent 2000-03 at Ohio State and now serves as the
team's volunteer assistant, will be making his third appearance in
the MLL all-star game as a faceoff specialist. A member of the
Chicago Machine this season, Kelly has 73 faceoff wins in five
games and ranks second in the league in faceoff win percentage
(.545) among players who have taken at least 100 faceoffs. He won
the league's hardest shot competition in 2008 with a world record
109 mile per hour shot. He has played in the MLL since 2006,
spending three years with Los Angeles before moving to Chicago last
