Three Greyhounds Chosen In MLL Supplemental Draft

Loyola Sports Information

Baltimore, Md. - Former Loyola men's lacrosse players Dan Bauers, Michael Graham and Jamie Hanford were selected in the 2008 Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft this week. The former Greyhounds were three of the 76 selections in the seven-round professional outdoor league draft.

Graham, who played defense for the Greyhounds from 2003 to 2007, was picked 17th overall by Denver. Graham was one of the top defenders on Loyola's squad the past two years, oftentimes drawing the opposition's No. 1 scorer.

Bauers, who also graduated in 2007, was chosen by Los Angeles in the seventh-round at pick No. 69. Bauers, and All-ECAC selection, led the Greyhounds in goals last season with 29 and finished with 61 goals in his college career.

Hanford, a two-time All-America selection at defense for Loyola, was chosen in the sixth round by Long Island. Hanford graduated in 1998 and had previously played in both the NLL (professional indoor lacrosse) and MLL before this week's draft.

Training camp for MLL teams begins on April 26. The 2008 MLL season will begin on Saturday, May 17.
