When did you start playing hockey?
I started out playing roller hockey when I was about 7 and made the transition to ice at the age of 10. Somehow, after my first summer of playing forward on ice, I was able to con my parents into letting me "try" goalie with a pair of old pads that were made circa 1987.

Most memorable hockey moment:
My favorite hockey moment isn't actually a single moment-I loved inter-squad "game days" each Thursday during my two years at the North American Hockey Academy. Our teams were split into six separate teams and played against one another in small games. The amount of effort and intensity put into winning that ridiculous tin-foil and Tupperware trophy was insane. Everyone got so pumped up and had so much pride in their team.

Pre-game ritual/superstitions:
I don't have a set ritual. I usually just try to go with the flow and remember to have fun, so each game is a little bit different for me.

Dream job (other than hockey player):
My dream job would be a career as a real estate lawyer who specialized in protecting the rights of private citizens in imminent domain cases. I guess I could settle for New York Times guest columnist and bestselling author as well, though.

What is your biggest fear?

My biggest fear is losing my loved ones.

If you could pick three people to eat dinner with, who would they be:
If I could have dinner with anyone dead or living, I'd probably have to sit down with Juan Pujol Garcia (the Spanish born British intelligence double agent during World War II); Amelia Earhart; and my ancestral grandfather, General John Glover, the man who ferried George Washington's army across the Delaware River in the dead of winter to take back Trenton-a key victory in the Revolutionary War.

If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go:
Croatia-it's gorgeous.

Most embarrassing moment:

Once, at NAHA, one of my friends jumped on my back as I was penguin sledding (a garbage bag over my clothes, running, jumping and sliding down head first) down our giant hill and my friend jumped right on my back as I was just taking off. The force of her weight and the bumps on the way down put just enough pressure on my bladder to make me pee myself all the way down the hill. The walk back up to go home was awful... and cold.

If you could have one superhero power, what would it be:
I'm okay with being a normal human being.

What is currently playing non-stop on your iPod:

Currently, nothing is playing on my iPod because it's broken. However, if it weren't it would be Metric's old album, Grow Up and Blow Away.

What is something you can't live without?
A flat pillow and YouTube.
