Elmira's Bresler Nabs Player of the Week Honors

Player of the Week

Alex Bresler-Elmira
Sophomore, Forward, Golden, Colo./Colorado Selects
Bresler had a solid four games over the holiday break and in their two weekend games. During the four game stretch she scored 4 goals and 1 assist. She scored the game winning goal in the opening game of the Cardinal-Panther Classic against host Middlebury College. Over the weekend she scored 3 goals and recorded an assist in a tie and a win against RIT.

Goalie of the Week

Lauren Sullivan-Elmira
Freshman, Toronto, Ontatio/Markham-Stouffville Stars (PWHL)

Sullivan went 3-0-1 during their four road games. She earned a 3-2 OT win over Middlebury College and two 2-1 victories over Amherst College and RIT. She averaged 22.75 saves per game. Her efforts would not go unrecognized during the holiday break as she was named tournament MVP in the Cardinal-Panther Classic.

Rookie of the Week

Teal Gove-Plattsburgh State
Forward, Berwick, Ontario/Ontario Hockey Academy

Scored three of Plattsburgh's nine goals to help the Cardinals take an ECAC West series from Utica on the road, winning Friday's game 6-1 before a 3-3 overtime tie on Saturday. In the series finale, she scored with 47 seconds left in regulation for her second goal of the day to tie the game and help avoid a loss against the Pioneers.

Honor Roll

Megan DiJulio-Plattsburgh State
Junior, Forward, Slave Lake, Alberta/Warner Warriors Hockey School

DiJulio was named to the all-tournament team of the Panther-Cardinal Classic after Plattsburgh State downed No. 4 Middlebury on the road, 4-1. She scored twice in the Third Place Game. For the week, she totaled three goals to lead the Cardinals to a 2-0-1 week. She has nine goals and 11 points on the season.

Annmarie Lewis-Potsdam State
Sophomore, Forward, Newmarket, Ontario/Aurora Panther

Lewis scored two goals and two assists for the weekend. Both goals came in the victory over Oswego. She was also named to the Rutland-Herald All-Tournament team. Has 7 goals and 7 assists for the season.

Jill Doherty-Utica
Senior, Goalie, Wellesley, Mass./Kents Hill

Doherty stopped 49 shots as the Utica College women's hockey team tied nationally-ranked No. 2 Plattsburgh State in ECAC Women's West Conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers were outshot 52-22 in the key conference tie.

Jen Conophy-Potsdam State
Freshman, Goalie, Glenmont, N.Y./Albany Ice Cats
Conophy started both games this weekend and was stellar recording 57 saves against Adrian and 31 against Oswego to lift her team to victory. For her efforts she was named to Rutland-Herald Invitational All-Tournament Team.
